Rose Sauer is a scientific illustrator and designer originally from Southern California whose work is inspired by a deep curiosity about the natural world. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Design and Biology from San José State University and a Master’s in Scientific Illustration from Zuyd University in the Netherlands.

Combining strong foundations in traditional drawing and design with scientific knowledge, Rose creates detailed, engaging visual work that helps communicate complex ideas. She is passionate about collaborating with scientists, educators, and organizations whose work supports environmental awareness, education, and positive social impact.
